HIPAA Compliance Information
ABA College is an educational platform and does not replace an authorized clinical record system. This page explains responsible handling of health and client information while using our educational services.
Effective date: October 5, 2026Do not submit protected health information
Do not upload or post clinical records, client or patient names, dates of birth, addresses, photographs, case files, treatment documents, or other information that could identify a service recipient in courses, assignments, chats, forms, reviews, or support requests.
Educational and supervision examples
Examples should be fictional, de-identified, or sufficiently altered. Supervisors, agencies, and learners must use their organization's approved systems for clinical documentation, fieldwork records, and protected health information.
Platform safeguards
ABA College uses reasonable account, access, hosting, payment, and security measures appropriate to its educational services. Users remain responsible for their passwords, devices, downloads, and the information they choose to enter or share.
Roles and responsibility
Healthcare providers, employers, supervisors, and practitioners are responsible for determining their HIPAA duties and whether a written business associate agreement is required. Enrollment in ABA College does not create a provider-patient relationship or automatically make ABA College a HIPAA business associate.
Training is not authorization
Learning about HIPAA or ethics through ABA College does not authorize a learner to access, disclose, or store protected information outside the policies of an employer, supervisor, law, or applicable professional standard.
Report a concern
If protected information is entered accidentally or you suspect a privacy issue, stop sharing it and contact edu@aba.college promptly so the matter can be reviewed.
